Clearly, the modern day possum evolved from non other than pokemon #115, Kangashan. This kangaroo pokemon existed thousands of years ago in a special region called the Kanto region. This region was so technologically advanced that people threw small balls at animals and then used the animals for fighting. This political instability lead to the demise of the entire region through the use of nuclear weapons. Only lately have people found this amazing fossil.
This amazing animal stands at about 7 foot 3 inches and is awesome. Its most effective moves include but are not limited too, Outrage (only available to dragon type pokemon), Comet Punch and Dizzy Punch.
They appear mostly in jungle-like areas emerging to prey on smaller animals. They then proceed to rip apart the prey violently and eat them while the prey scream loudly. Usually Kangashan is nurturing and only goes ape-feces crazy when someone (probably some lame-ass psychic pokemon like Kadabra) tries to whisk away the child.
Kangashan is of normal type. Whilst this means it has no special benefits, it means it doesnt have super effective weaknesses. Its is also a dragon type pokemon and can learn specific dragon type moves.
How It Evolved
A long time ago, when Kanto was on the edge of political instability, the Kangashan animal was nearly going extinct. The few that were left suffered from loss of food due to the death/capture of so many of the prey they used to eat. So one day, a Kangashan was like, "WTF is this? There is no food left. This sucks i'm going to eat some trees." Surprisingly they had okay grammar. They also became smaller until one day. WHATS THIS?
